I manage a country homestead and the lives of my 4 babies ages 10,8,5 and 3. I LOVE TO RUN and NEED to keep healthy and fit for my SANITY!! Seriously....All problems are solved when I am running.

Making MY health a priority allows me to be the mother and wife that I need to be for them.

3x a week for 3 weeks complete

I started off today on my run and my knee hurt. It hurt to the point that I turned around at 4mins to come home. I think it may have something to do with trying to show my friend how I run by using exaggerated running and sprints. Not smart.

I can't believe I have knee problems but I'm not going to focus on that right now. I will take one day of running at a time and just focus on that.

I SLOWED RIGHT DOWN, and by the time I passed my house 4 minutes later the pain was gone. so I kept running past the house. I managed to get the rest of the run finished without pain.

This marathon stuff is not going to be easy for me. I like to run and I like to run fast but there is NO WAY I will be able to run long distances at a crazy pace. I need to build the endurance and build it slowly. I just picture what it will be like to cross that finish line in May and I tear up. It will be worth it.

So here I go....Week 3 of 3x a week COMPLETE.

I just happened upon your blog and like it. :) I too am in training for my first half marathon and I WILL DRY WHEN I CROSS THE FINISH LINE. In the last 2 years I comPLETED 8 triathlons and the half marathon is my new challenge. The Tacoma City Half marathon May 1st. Good luck to you. :) Denise
