I started off today on my run and my knee hurt. It hurt to the point that I turned around at 4mins to come home. I think it may have something to do with trying to show my friend how I run by using exaggerated running and sprints. Not smart.
I can't believe I have knee problems but I'm not going to focus on that right now. I will take one day of running at a time and just focus on that.
I SLOWED RIGHT DOWN, and by the time I passed my house 4 minutes later the pain was gone. so I kept running past the house. I managed to get the rest of the run finished without pain.
This marathon stuff is not going to be easy for me. I like to run and I like to run fast but there is NO WAY I will be able to run long distances at a crazy pace. I need to build the endurance and build it slowly. I just picture what it will be like to cross that finish line in May and I tear up. It will be worth it.
So here I go....Week 3 of 3x a week COMPLETE.
