I manage a country homestead and the lives of my 4 babies ages 10,8,5 and 3. I LOVE TO RUN and NEED to keep healthy and fit for my SANITY!! Seriously....All problems are solved when I am running.

Making MY health a priority allows me to be the mother and wife that I need to be for them.

Victory

After two weeks of doing nothing...o.k of being really sick I finally got out tonight for a bike ride.

It was no easy task I'll tell y'a

I almost did not get out the door as excuses started piling up...
1) I'm sick
2) I'm tired and grumpy
3) The kids are not in bed yet
4) It will hurt
5) my husband has to leave in an hour for baseball

So...I just fed the little baby, handed him to my husband and out the door I went. It was then or never and I knew if tonight I let those excuses win they would win tomorrow night..and then the next

Now I should have gone for a run but with the laziness I was feeling I figured just a little bike ride would be better....less pressure you see.

It worked!! I pushed myself a little and got my lungs breathing and legs burning, and now I feel refreshed.

Even better is that now I feel motivated to get my butt out the door tomorrow night to do a run.

Victory for me tonight.

Hooray! Woohoo! Congrats on the bike ride and the jean zipping! That's very exciting.

I'm working up to wearing my favorite old skirt. I can button it but it is still a bit snug to wear all day. . .

Stop by when you have a chance!

Hey Alyson,
Good for you! If you are going for a run tonight, give me a call. I have to do chores but after that I should be free.

You go girl...great job making the decision and just doing it! I have been saying for about a week now that I need to run, but it is just too stinkin hot. This is my first time visiting and I enjoyed looking around!
