eating naturally

I've always tried to eat right...but since moving to the country I have taken it to another level.

I have tried to eat more naturally. I've become interested in just what is in my food and where it comes from.

I am shocked and disgusted with what we put into our bodies on a daily basis and don't give it a second thought.

Since changing my diet, baking more, eating more raw foods and eliminating most preservatives from mine and my childrens diets, I have noticed a huge difference...

A difference in energy, temperment and sleep.

It is not difficult or expensive to change your diet....but it does take a ton of motivation and determination....o.k self control.

It was hard to get rid of Kraft Diner and store bought cookies...but worth it in the end.....so worth it.

So, do you make all meals with organic foods, or are you just making sure you don't buy the processed foods in the stores? And what kinds of meals do you make? I'm on the path of doing the same thing and improving the diets of my husband and myself.

Last year I made a real effort to make more things from scratch. I'd always done it for baked goods (I'm a baker, not a cook) but cooking was harder b/c I honestly don't enjoy it. I'm proud to say that I make about 5 dinners a week from scratch. The hardest thing is hot dogs ... my kids love them and ask for them a lot but they're soooo bad for them.
