It's official. I pressed send on the sign up page and paid the fee for my first Marathon. Good God what am I getting myself into?? lol
I know exactly what. Every step of the way will be for my friend Sarah and her son who has Mitochondrial disease. After all. A marathon may be my running dream, but the run not being about me just makes it that much better.
I'm looking forward to the challenge. I absolutely loved running the half last year and so I feel like I'm prepared for the challenges ahead of me. My running partner who is equally crazy will also be training for equally idiotic distances, so I'll have some company.
So there you have it. It's official. I pressed the button. I hope this gives you enough time to save up the money I will ask you to donate to a VERY worthy cause. This should also give my crazy and supportive friends enough time to make some motivational signs for me ;)

I don't know if we can top "May the course be with you" but we'll certainly give it a go! Date please!
