I manage a country homestead and the lives of my 4 babies ages 10,8,5 and 3. I LOVE TO RUN and NEED to keep healthy and fit for my SANITY!! Seriously....All problems are solved when I am running.

Making MY health a priority allows me to be the mother and wife that I need to be for them.

Training Jitters

I'm still alive I promise! I think my weeks are blending into each other and I don't want to bore everyone with my training. So far I've raised over 100$ for Charity. My last few runs have been for the kids so thank you so much for those who have donated. There is still time and I still need your support! Last week was an AMAZING week for my running. I felt like I hit another level. I ran 16 km without a problem, ran 10 km like it was nothing. Then on Friday I ran 7km in what felt like lightning speed (for me). I felt GREAT and had confidence that I can conquer this distance training stuff. Then I ran this past Sunday another 16k. Then I ran was a little over confident and ran too fast and took too little breaks... Then my legs were sore, and my hip, and my feet, and my knee and other weird parts. I made a trip to the Reflexologist and she showed me just how 'off' kilter my hips are. At this point I NEED to be stretching more, eating better, resting more, cross training more....blah blah blah... If I don't I'm going to see the injuries creep up. She even mentioned the DREADED Plantar fasciitis !!! If that happens my marathon dream will NOT happen. So needless to say I'm a little nervous today and I feel so incredibly unprepared for this marathon stuff. My body is achy and I'm tired. I'm trying to keep my cool and just do what I can and not freak out. One foot in front of the other......right?
