32 kms down...2 more crazy long runs to go..
Above is a virtual tour of the Marathon route I will be running. I have to admit that it looks rather intimidating... and LONG!!!
My marathon training is back on track. I just ran 32kms today and ended strong. My legs were very very sore, but I ran the entire last 5km and felt great considering I have just run for over 3hrs. I'm thinking the Super strength Motrin I took at hour 2 kicked in ;)
I am now running only 3 days a week. A 10km, a 12km, and a long run. In between I'm trying to rest, eat well, stretch, and visit the massage and chiro. I should be doing some core strength but I will admit that I'm not. I should also add in some cross training on the bike.
So far I'm holding up. 54 days to go, and 3 weeks until the Half Marathon race. I'm ready for the 21k. It is amazing how short 21 feels when I finish running a 32. It seriously proves that running is 80% mental.
