I manage a country homestead and the lives of my 4 babies ages 10,8,5 and 3. I LOVE TO RUN and NEED to keep healthy and fit for my SANITY!! Seriously....All problems are solved when I am running.

Making MY health a priority allows me to be the mother and wife that I need to be for them.

I'm not Perfect....

I should not admit this but it is the truth and part of my 'fitness'.  Lol not really, but I'll share in my stupidity with you all.

I gain and loose weight pretty easily. Right now I am trying to lose about 3 pounds. This is quite difficult for me as I work out regularly and eat pretty well most of the time. In order to annoy my metabolism and force it to change I find tricking it for a couple of days works.
Yes I can just cut back on my food intake a bit, and and I can ramp up my running. BUT I will admit that sometimes I am just lazy, and don't have the control to stop eating at night!!!

So I bought some caffeine free, zero calorie 'cola'.  The fuzz fills my stomach and gives me the satisfaction of filling my stomach without the calories.

Yes pop makes you bloated.
Yes this is stupid.
Yes Aspartame causes cancer.
No this is not long term

Oh my word....have you ever read the ingredients list on a can of pop???? There is NOTHING good in it. In fact, it not only contains cancer causing ingredients, but it contains nasty chemicals!! NOTHING good. Why do they sell this stuff??? Of course they still sell cigarettes don't they!

I'll admit that sometimes I'm an idiot.  I'm hungry this morning and bloated.

Back to accountability and getting out for a run, and snacking on vegetables.

Oh Alyson, you make me laugh :) First of all, you are perfect b/c He made you perfect. You are perfectly who you are supposed to be right here, right now. Second, use the rest of the cans of Coke Zero to unclog your bathroom drains and buy carbonated water or the PC sparkling juice instead. You'll get the same bloating effect (if that's what you're going for) and none of the nasty chemicals.

good point Sara. Sparkling juice will give me the same effect. thanks!
and I know God thinks I'm perfect the way I am ;) I'm just not perfect with my health and nutrition practices. Well educated and practiced yes...perfect no ;)

But at least you know and can admit to your imperfections when it relates to your practices. We all make choices, good and bad. As long as 90% of the time they are healthy choices I think all is good.
