I manage a country homestead and the lives of my 4 babies ages 10,8,5 and 3. I LOVE TO RUN and NEED to keep healthy and fit for my SANITY!! Seriously....All problems are solved when I am running.

Making MY health a priority allows me to be the mother and wife that I need to be for them.

Slowly Coming along

sorry. I've been terrible about posting eh?
I'm just tired I guess.

Still trying to run and eat well but I think I've gained a few pounds this holiday.
I'm putting myself on a diet soon. I feel the need to look better in my clothes and put away the last of the pregnancy gear.

I'll get there. Just a little slower this time around than after my previous babies. Who cares. Well I do but I just need to find the motivation to get moving already.

Another Date night, Another Run

Amazing how ALL of life's problem seem to have a solution after a good run. Again I highly recommend running before getting ready for a night out.

You feel energized, your circulation flows better, you feel better in your nice clothes, and help your body to start burning up those extra holiday calories.

Exercise before a DATE!

We had Date night last night.

We went for a run together and then headed out for Supper.
Running together is special for us and I'm glad we have physical fitness in common.
Doing it together reminds us of why we fell in love and what we have in common.

We also have eating in common and going out for a great supper with friends was nice too. Running before hand allows us to feel better about drinking a little wine and eating more food. Also helps me to feel better in my clothes.

All in all exercise before a date is highly recommended ;)

Kicked the Caffeine Habit this Week.

My husband and I have been off Caffeine now for a week. yes you heard me right. I wanted to see if it was my coffee consumption that was causing our baby to NOT SLEEP. The answer is no, she is still quite cranky and ahem....colicky. but whatever. Not the point.

Point is that I feel WAY more awake without coffee throughout the day. I think I am a little less cranky too which is more important for EVERYONE in this house.

Caffeine also raises cortisol levels which keeps the fat from coming off so that is an added bonus.

That is all I have for now. I may be awake but 10 weeks of lack of sleep has left my brain kind of empty for anything worthy of blogging/reading about. Sorry.

Oh...and the ONLY way I could kick the morning coffee was if my husband did it too...So we have been trying tricking ourselves by drinking decaf. Soon we will be off of it completely.
