I manage a country homestead and the lives of my 4 babies ages 10,8,5 and 3. I LOVE TO RUN and NEED to keep healthy and fit for my SANITY!! Seriously....All problems are solved when I am running.

Making MY health a priority allows me to be the mother and wife that I need to be for them.

So Far so Good

Day 6 of tracking our food consumption on Livestrong.com. So far it has been a GREAT tool for seeing what I ACTUALLY eat. Not only does it track Calories, but it is quite accurate in showing me the amount of Sodium, Protein, Fat, Carbs, Cholesterol ect... that is in my diet.
I have to admit that I am a little SHOCKED at the amount of SODIUM and Fat I am consuming.

This week I've been trying to eat what I NORMALLY eat (within the recommended calories for weight lose of 1 pound). I am never really good with diets. Restricting the type of food I eat makes me want to eat it more. Of course I generally eat pretty healthy. I must admit that I liked seeing that I had some calories left over at the end of the day for a glass of red wine...or two ;)

So tomorrow is the weigh in and I'm excited. Both my husband and I are feeling great doing this together.
